This guide covers how the payment device mounts to your kiosk, which brackets are used, and what cables you need to plug in when your kiosk arrives.
Good news: Your kiosk ships pre-assembled. In most cases you only need to connect two power cables — no other cabling is required to start.
Payment device brackets
For HungerRush setups, the payment device mounts to the kiosk using one of two different brackets. The correct bracket is chosen and installed for your device before it ships, so it arrives already mounted and ready.
- The payment device attaches to the bracket using the screw holes on the back of the device.
- The bracket then mounts to the kiosk, holding the payment device securely in place for customers.
Cables you need to connect
When you receive the kiosk, you do not need to plug in any cables except the power cables:
- Kiosk power cable — powers the kiosk.
- Payment device power cable — powers the payment device (as shown in the photo).
The payment device is powered over USB and does not require its own Ethernet cable. All other connections between the payment device and kiosk are already made for you.
Recommended: connect Ethernet for a stable connection
While the kiosk can run on Wi-Fi, we highly recommend connecting the kiosk to Ethernet for the most stable connection — especially in busy environments.
- You'll find the Ethernet extension port at the back of the kiosk.
- Plug your network cable into that port to give the kiosk a wired connection.
Quick checklist
- Payment device is mounted on its bracket (arrives pre-installed).
- Kiosk power cable plugged in.
- Payment device power cable plugged in.
- (Recommended) Ethernet cable connected to the extension port on the back.
