Kiosk Sliders are the images and videos that play on your kiosk's welcome screen. You can update them yourself in the Merchant Console. This guide covers where to find the setting, the required file formats, and how to upload.
Before you start: Prepare your images or videos in the correct ratio and file size (see the format requirements below). The first two slider slots are included; additional slots are a Premium feature.
Step-by-step
- Log in to the Merchant Console.
- Open your kiosk settings. From the left-hand navigation menu, go to Device & Apps → Kiosk, then select the location you want to edit.
- Go to the Welcome Flow tab. At the top of the page, make sure the Welcome Flow tab is selected. You'll see the Kiosk Sliders section.
- Upload or replace a slider. Click an empty Click to upload slot to add a new image or video, or click the trash icon on an existing slider to remove it before uploading a new one.
- Select your file. Choose an image or video from your device that meets the format requirements below.
- Restart the kiosk to apply. After uploading, restart the kiosk so the new sliders take effect.
File format requirements
For best display on kiosks, upload sliders and videos in the correct format.
Image / Video ratio:
- Portrait kiosk: must be 9:16 ratio. Recommended: 1080 x 1920 px (width x height).
- Landscape kiosk: must be 16:9 ratio. Recommended: 1920 x 1080 px (width x height).
File limits:
- Image: PNG or JPG format; under 1 MB.
- Video: MP4 format; under 35 MB.
Click Gear -> Refresh Kiosk to refresh the kiosk after uploading new image(s) or video(s) to apply your settings.
Tips
- Match the ratio to your kiosk orientation (portrait vs. landscape) so content isn't cropped or stretched.
- If a file is too large, resize or compress it before uploading to stay within the size limits.
- Additional slider slots beyond the first two require a Premium plan.
